Meet The Founder
Umang Bengali
My story spans Mumbai, Toronto, San Francisco, and New York — each city shaping my sense of identity and deepening my belief in what becomes possible when people from different cultures genuinely connect.
Growing up in a four-generation family of import-export entrepreneurs, I watched relationships built on trust and curiosity cross every border and language barrier imaginable. Business was the surface. Human connection was always the point.
I spent nearly a decade in finance — most recently investment banking — building the kind of career that looks complete from the outside. And in many ways it was. But somewhere between the deal closings and the calendar invites, I kept noticing the same quiet gap: accomplished, interesting people, genuinely struggling to find the kind of friendships that make life feel full.
I felt it too.
Having visited over 30 countries, I've seen the same truth reflected back everywhere: no matter where we're from, we all seek belonging, understanding, and people to share the journey with. The answer wasn't another app or another mixer. It was the right people, in a beautiful place, with enough unhurried time for something real to form.
So I left banking and built Sahā Quest — a global friendship club for accomplished, curious adults who are ready to invest in something most of us are quietly missing.
We're not chasing access. We're choosing each other.
And in doing so, building something far more enduring.
